Joined Gateway Ticketing to design, develop, implement and support CRM Plus. CRM Plus is Gateway’s integrated MS Dynamics CRM (currently Dynamics365 for Sales) solution providing near real time transfer of customer, contact, event, ticketing, membership and usage data from Galaxy (the ticketing solution) to CRM. CRM Plus has been live on customers sites since November 2015 and, as of the end of 2019, is live at 42 sites around the world. Responsible for all 3rd party integrations to/from CRM Plus.
Also developed Gateway’s customer journey mapping approach that has been used by a number of CRM Plus customers to define who they should be talking to, when they should be talking to them, and what they should be saying.
Involved in presenting the Gateway Ticketing solution and approach to prospects and customers both during sales cycles and regular user group meetings.

Founded Silverbear in 2000 in order to provide cost effective web site to CRM/ERP solutions for mid-sized enterprises. Since 2000, Silverbear has developed into an end to end membership management solution provider organisation, based upon a Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform. At time of exit, Silverbear had 51 staff, turnover of £4.4M and an operating profit of £250K. The solution is used by over 50 membership organisations including the Law Society, British Medical Association, Youth Hostel Association and Royal College of Nursing
Responsibilities:
Prior to the development of Silverbear Membership (commenced in 2010), was responsible for the management at both a technical and business level of relationships with three Regional Development Agencies (EMDA, Yorkshire Forward, and SEEDA) for the provision of integrated, online CRM solutions based around Sage SalesLogix. This activity – which ran from 2005 to 2010 – also resulted in the creation of an online email marketing platform (Communigator – www.communigator.com – sold to a management buy out) and an online events management platform (now an integral part of Silverbear Membership).
Undertaken business consultancy projects for Reed Business Information in order to merge the technical platform for 3 internal businesses (KellySearch, BuyerZone and ApprovedIndex), for the Department for Communities and Local Government to build the business case and technical platform for a local to central government engagement platform called GovConnect (I was the business owner for the Citizen Account element of the programme), and for Westminster City Council to streamline their parking services offering from a business and technology standpoint and merge it in to their “Welcome to Westminster” online initiative.
Since 2000, have been responsible for the on-going management of Silverbear’s integration and data migration solutions and processes. To date, these Microsoft based tool sets, have been successfully utilised in over 100 customer projects.

Joined royalblue in their finance team and became a team leader, using Pascal and C++, to develop finance trading systems which became the marketing leading Fidessa (www.fidessa.com) equity trading platform.
Designed, developed and bought to market the market leading help desk and customer support solution, HelpDesk for Windows and latterly royalblue HelpDesk (now part of the intel LANDesk suite). Built this part of the royalblue business from 2 people (myself and 1 part time sales person) to over 100 people worldwide with annual sales in excess of £12M over a five year period from 1995 to 2000.

Lead developer on a telephony management console for Siemens and Nortel PABXs. Responsible for both hardware and firmware (based on OS9) design, and for delivery of the solution to both Siemens and Nortel.

Marconi Command and Control Systems Ltd
Frimley Surrey
Graduate developer, and latterly team leader, on the BATES (Battlefield Targeting and Engagement System) for the British Army. Responsible for module design and implementation (in Coral 66) of the fire control elements of this project.
